Velliyamkallu : A massive rock in sea.

Velliyamkallu This huge rock, much dreaded by navigators, was once a vantage point for the Kunjali Marakkar to attack the invading Portuguese. This point is about 10 km from payyoli beach. The great malayalam novelist M.Mukundan mentioned it in his novel " Daivathinte vikruthkal " .
